Buffalo Benefits from Lake Erie Buffalo, New York - some people think it is “way out there on the edge of the State”. (To tell the truth, some people probably think Buffalo is in Canada!) In reality, Buffalo is settled in a very nice part of New York – near the Erie, Chautauqua, and Niagara grape growing regions. (And as everyone knows, if you can grow grapes, it can’t be all bad!) Buffalo is surrounded on three sides by agricultural land and it is home to a broad array of cultural and sporting activities– helping to provide some of the numbers that make agriculture and tourism the top two industries in New York State. Home to the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and the Buffalo Bills, this town has what it takes to satisfy passions of all varieties.
We would like to encourage all New Yorkers to become more familiar with these important pieces that make up part of the diverse quilt of New York, and to introduce visitors from around the world to the products available.
Wines from New York are served at some of the top restaurants in Buffalo, and will enhance any special occasion you may be planning. But don't forget that a quiet dinner with family can sometimes be the most important occasion of all!
The New York wine industry is working with retailers and restaurateurs in the Greater Buffalo area to make it easier for you to find New York wine on their shelves and wine lists. Please feel free to let your favorite wine shop or restaurant know that if there is a New York wine that they are not carrying, they may contact us for more information.

Warm Hearts in Buffalo Everyone has heard that the weather in Buffalo can be a bit on the cold side, but it is important to know that the people have very warm hearts. Our industry was delighted to work with the Hunter’s Hope Foundation for a special event to help raise public awareness of and funds for a very worthy cause– medical research into several dystrophy-like diseases that rob some children of the quality life that we wish for all children. We hope that in some small way through working at an event like this, we can help some wonderful people do their very important work.
This year's main event will be held November 30 at the Adam's Mark hotel. Keep an eye out for details and come out for the kids.
