Retailers throughout New York State are becoming increasingly supportive of the New York wine industry. We celebrate and welcome their participation in spreading the word about the exciting renaissance of the New York wine industry. Several stores in the Albany region are working with New York wineries to increase their inventory, and to host in-store tastings for consumers to feel comfortable in buying a wine they may not have had a chance to experience before.
As more stores put in "New York" sections, it will become easier to find the New York wines that you want to try. If you don't see one that you are looking for, ask if they can help you find a similar wine, or if there is a way for them to bring in some stock so that you can purchase it through them. And when you find a store that is especially cooperative - tell your friends. Everyone appreciates hearing good news!

George Eastman and his company have had a major impact on Rochester and the world. Intriguing images and visions can be captured and shared and archived. Some images are pleasing to one person’s eye and less so to others. Wine can be just as diverse.
Many in Rochester know a great deal about the wines of the world – not just the local brands – and they are excited about the developments in the New York industry. Michael Warren Thomas is a local radio talk show host who works tirelessly at sharing his passion with his listeners. Through interviewing wine-knowledgeable guests and discussing these developments, Mr. Thomas is helping spread the word that the New York wine industry is more than and image – it is fully engaged in the marriage of art and science that is known as winemaking.
