Have you ever been settling into your favorite restaurant, ready to enjoy a pleasant meal, and then had to answer the question "Which wine tonight?"
Dining out and not knowing what wine selection to make can be a very stressful decision. To help alleviate some of this pressure, we will be working with restaurants in the area to develop a program that will allow you to try a glass of wine without buying the whole bottle. Look for restaurants that have this type of program and thank them for helping you to "Uncork New York".

New York wines in TorontoWith all the diverse cultures that are found in Toronto comes a wonderful selection of cuisines. We think that New York wines have the right characteristics and taste profiles that pair very well with a variety of foods. The cool climate of our growing regions produces lively fresh flavors that enhance any meal. At a recent dinner at JK Rom we had a delicious rice gumbo with catfish paired with a Dry Riesling, a rich, earthy mushroom crepe with squash puree paired with an equally rich Chardonnay; lamb grilled to perfection and served and gratin potato and green beans with a block-buster Cabernet Franc; and a decadent walnut cake with a luscious Strawberry wine. The dinner was beautifully prepared by Chef Jamie Kennedy and his staff and we were very proud of how well the wines matched every course. We are looking forward to our next special dinner in Toronto, but don’t wait until then to match a New York wine with your favorite dish – even if it is "only" artfully prepared in your own kitchen
