New York City offers so much to those who live there and to those who visit. From the Financial District to the Theatre District to the Subway Series—there is always something exciting going on in New York.

The wine scene in New York is incredible with some of the nations most respected wine shops and some of the world’s best-known restaurants. The New York wine industry is making inroads in this very competitive market and is poised to make a splash in a big way later this year. We currently have several strong supporters - especially Vintage New York in Soho and IS-Wine in Greenwich Village – and you’ll be seeing more and more labels appearing in more stores and on more wine lists soon. Watch for special events at some of the premier venues in the City, and if you are a retailer or restaurateur that wants to make sure you are in on the fun…. contact us!

New York Wine:
Red, White and True Blue

New York City is one of the most diverse cities in the world.

New York's wine regions produce the greatest diversity of wine from any one wine region in the world.

But we are all united in our support for those who have been touched by recent events.

Great New York wines can be found at some of New York's best restaurants. We had a special program scheduled for New York City for October 2001— New York Cuisine— and we were pleased to learn that even after the tragic events of September 11, many of the restaurants that were able to be open kept the program alive. New York Cuisine is the combination of three magic pieces— great New York food products and New York wines brought together by the great chefs of New York. In some restaurants the program has continued on past the end of October in a tribute to the City and the State.

We also invite everyone who is able to help the many families of restaurant employees affected by the September 11 tragedy by contributing to the New York Restaurant Employee Disaster Fund. Checks may be made payable to NYRED Fund and sent to:
c/o Trustco Bank
1892 Central Avenue
Albany, NY 12205.
